Debuted in the spring of 2013, Crane's Merchant Media series of vending machines are the present and the future wrapped into one package. It incorporates wireless tracking and telemetry, touchscreen controls, and optional integrated credit card and media-driven purchase, with legendary reliability and proven cabinet and vend design that has made Crane vending machines one of the most popular brands among professional operators. The Merchant series from Crane feature first-in-the-industry 6 selection snack trays, and 12 selection candy trays, giving them an unprecedented number of selections, or 60 total in the 6 wide, 7 tray machine as opposed to the old 45 selection machines.

In the late 2010s, the Crane Media platform was upgraded to Media2, which includes much faster processing speeds, and a 9" touchscreen customer interface.
