The VN 2000 series bill acceptor is widely known as the best validator on the market. The VN-2522 offers both MDB or pulse/serial 24 volt operation interfaces. This unit DOES NOT have what is called a "flashport", which means it is not upgradable to new currency updates, and it also means these validators can't take any of the $5 bills except ones made in the 1990s, which are no longer in circulation. This makes them essentially a $1 only validator. This bill acceptor has a "slim style" bezel, which is needed to put a 2000 series validator in some machines, like the National 431 cold food machines.
