This is the spring that gives tension to the metal drop sensor flap that presses against the drop sensor switch in the soda compartment of the model 3548 combo vending machine. This spring often breaks or fails and causes the metal flap to not move up and down properly, and results in the drop sensor for the beverages not working correctly, accurately, or at all.
