This hopper will replace American Changer MK4 parallel interface hoppers, the 1st generation Green Stripe parallel interface hoppers, or your existing Yellow Stripe parallel hopper if you already have this style. This hopper will replace older parallel interface MK4 or Green Stripe hoppers in all American Changer front or rear load series change machines that have control boards with red segmented numbers for the cash counter display. If you have a mechanical counter on your machine's control board, you will need to buy a new control board, hopper, and validator for your machine as there are no compatible hoppers available anymore for machines that old.
A parallel interface hopper uses a long red plug where the hopper harness plugs into the control board (see listing pictures for example). If the control board in your machine has a green backlit display with black text, you will need a ccTalk interface hopper and not this parallel interface hopper.
