Royal Vendors discontinued the original Merlin IV control board, and now makes this 2nd generation board to replace all original Merlin IV boards, but the initial install of this board requires a complete retrofit kit. You CANNOT just buy this board and use it in place of an original Merlin IV board. If you already have installed a kit and are currently using this 2nd generation Merlin IV board, then the board in this listing will work in your machine.
